10th Micronesian President Summit

Majuro - President Zedkaia departed yesterday July 27 to attend the 10th Micronesian President Summit (MPS) held in the Republic of Palau, July 29 through the 31st. President is accompanied by Chief of Staff Christopher Debrum and will join Minister John Silk, Secretary Kino Kabua, and Assistant Secretary for Bureau for Multilateral Affairs Bernard Adiniwin in Palau.

President Zedkaia will have the opportunity to meet with the Marshallese community residing in Palau as well as with the RMI National team that will be participating in the 7th Micronesian Games. President Zedkaia will also be touring the Koror State Government Recycling Center and the Palau International Coral Reef Center.

The 10th MPS covers a broad range of issues to which are in the Eneko Communiqué that was signed here in Majuro during the 9th MPS, and will also cover issues under the Micronesian Chief Executive Summit. After the conclusion of the 10th MPS President Zedkaia is expected to attend the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Port Vila, Vanuatu to officially launch the Green Energy Micronesia initiative.
